Cyber Security

The Redstart Learning Partnership (TRLP) recognises the risk of cybercrime and has in place robust procedures in regards to technical/cyber security. These include:

  • A comprehensive Technical Security Policy is in place and is regularly reviewed (although not published)
  • All TRLP staff receive regular cybercrime awareness training (at least annually), and regular audits and testing of staff (including the sending of trial phishing e-mails) are carried out. Training follows best practice guidance supplied by the National Cyber Security Centre and other relevant organisations
  • All TRLP staff involved with finance in any capacity receive regular anti-fraud training (at least annually)
  • TRLP maintains a close working relationship with police cyber security services to ensure a rapid response in the event of a cyber attack
  • TRLP maintains a close working relationship with our banking provider to ensure a rapid response in the event of a cyber attack and or fraud event
  • All cyber attacks/fraud events are always reported immediately to the police and the TRLP banking provider
  • All data is backed-up daily and is fully restorable in a ransom situation
  • Ransoms are never paid
