We’re excited to announce that this summer will see us running a holiday provision for our children for the very first time! 2020 has been a difficult year for so many of our families and we are committed to ensuring that our children continue to be provided with fantastic opportunities through the long summer break, whilst allowing our parents to return to work.
When will the provision run?
The Redstart Learning Partnership’s Summer Provision will run every weekday of the summer holidays from Monday 20th July through to Friday 28th August 2020, on two of our school sites: Holy Trinity Church of England Primary School in Taunton and The Redstart Primary School in Chard.
What will be on offer?
The provision will be planned and delivered by our brilliantly skilled team of educational professionals - teachers and teaching assistants from our schools - supported by young people with a passion for working with children.
No two days will be alike! Our fantastic facilities will enable the children to engage in a huge range of activities, including: arts and crafts, sports and games, forest school, outdoor cookery, drama and much more. We’ll also be focusing on social activities that develop resilience, based on our core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, tolerance, perseverance and courage.
During these unusual times, we’re ensuring that our children and staff are kept as safe as possible - the children will work in bubbles of 15, they will be outside as much as possible and hand washing will of course be a frequent part of the day!
Who can attend?
Our intention is to support the families of children who attend one of our schools, but we recognise that childcare provision during the summer can be hard to find, and we do have availability for children to attend from other schools - please enquire to find out more. The provision is for children who are in Years R - 6 in the Summer Term 2020.
Please don’t think that the provision is only for those who need the childcare - we’d love to see our children coming along simply to engage in new and exciting experiences, when a summer holiday away from home might be difficult this year.
How much will the sessions cost?
Each day will run from 9.00am until 3.00pm, with wrap-around care between 8.00am and 5.00pm available upon request. A full day of fun activities will cost £15 per day per child, with a discounted cost of £65 per child for a full week’s booking. Wrap-around sessions are charged at £3 per hour.
Can I pay using childcare vouchers?
If your child attends one of The Redstart Learning Partnership's schools you can. We are able to accept most childcare voucher providers, such as Edenred, Computershare and the government's tax-free vouchers. Please email the address below with the name of your provider, your payment reference number, the date and amount of the payment you have made. If your child does not attend one of our schools, please email us and discuss your situation.
